Biogas
Biogas, a Renewable Energy Solution
Biogas production through anaerobic digestion, the breakdown of organic materials such as food or animal waste, has become a valuable source of renewable methane gas in the U.S. agricultural market.
Systecon’s Role in Biogas Production
Systecon supports this growing market by supplying modular boiler plants to U.S. dairy farmers. These turnkey systems include engineering, manufacturing, installation, and startup.
- Boiler plants are fueled by local natural gas or propane, depending on availability.
- They maintain digester temperatures through a hot water loop, enabling efficient anaerobic digestion.
- Digesters feed into a pressure swing operation that separates a gas mix (45% CO₂ / 55% methane) to produce methane rich renewable gas (typically discharged to a truck or local pipeline connection).
Systecon’s modular approach makes it a key partner for dairy farms adopting biogas technologies.
